BaseSpace.net is a local micro data center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We are conveniently located in Porter Square, less than a half hour by most modes of transportation from Boston, Arlington, Belmont, Somerville, Charlestown, Allston, Brookline, or Medford. We are a sole proprietorship with no loans, stockholders, or venture partners, so no-one but we and our customers have a say in the fate of our business.

• Colocation: We provide rack space, physical security, UPS-protected power, ventilation and air conditioning (provided by an environmentally sustainable ground source heat pump), network connectivity, basic firewall access control, and basic 7x24 monitoring for your servers at our facility, starting at $100/month, or $75/month with all available discounts.
• Managed Linux servers: We provide the server platform and infrastructure for your application to run on. We offer modern x86 hardware sized appropriately for your application with Fedora Core Linux. Our experienced senior system engineering staff will handle basic system maintenance proactively and professionally, including periodic security upgrades, so you can focus on your application. For managed Linux servers, our rates start at $200 / month.
• For our colocation and managed server clients only, we provide email service, web hosting, and authoritative domain name service at no additional charge. Offloading these functions from your own servers to ours lets you focus on your business.
• Premium services , such as networked tape backup, custom advanced monitoring, network-accessible power control, custom systems engineering, and our premium First Among Equals service plan, are available to our colocation and managed server clients at a small additional charge.

New Customer Discount

New customers receive a discount of at least $20/month for the first year. We are confident that you will be so happy with our service that you will not mind the slightly higher cost after a year.

Advance Payment Credit

You can receive a credit of up to $5/month for paying in advance.
